How Can Hospitals Assess Resectoscopy Set Quality? (4 อ่าน)

I’m researching resectoscopy sets for hospital use and want to understand how to properly assess their quality before making a purchase. Since these instruments are used in procedures where precision and reliability are important, I don’t think price should be the only deciding factor.
From what I understand, hospitals should first check the material and overall construction of the instruments, including the quality of the sheath, electrodes, working elements, optics, and other components. Smooth handling, clear visualization, proper insulation, and compatibility with existing equipment also seem important. It would also be useful to check whether the set can withstand repeated sterilization without losing performance.
I’m also comparing options from a resectoscopy set and TURP set dealer in india, but I’m unsure what questions should be asked before selecting one. Apart from product specifications, should hospitals check the dealer’s experience, after-sales service, warranty or guarantee terms, availability of replacement parts, and expected delivery time?
Another concern is cost transparency. A lower-priced set may not necessarily be economical if spare parts or servicing become difficult later. Reviews and feedback from other hospitals could also help in evaluating reliability.
For those who have purchased or evaluated resectoscopy sets, what quality checks do you consider essential? Are there any common red flags hospitals should look for before placing an order?
