Is a private transfer between Dubai and Doha worth it? (14 อ่าน)

My boss is sending me on a long business trip to Dubai, and I want to bring my dad along so we can take a weekend trip to Doha to show him the Museum of Islamic Art and the Katara Cultural Village. There are no trains there, and flying is too expensive for two people on such a short trip, plus I would like to see the real desert from the car window.

I have heard that regular taxi drivers at the UAE-Saudi Arabia border can cause a real headache over paperwork or charge triple the rate, so I am looking for reliable options with a fixed price. Has anyone traveled between these cities via private transfer? How does the border crossing go, and do hired drivers ever run into problems?

It is a great idea! Your dad would love a trip like this, cause the desert looks incredible at sunset. If you are considering the budget option of taking the bus, it will be a real hassle. Spending over seven hours jostling around on public transportation, including going through customs, is hardly a relaxing way to travel. It is much easier to rent a car with a driver through GetTransfer. That way, you will not have to take the Dubai to Qatar by bus. On their website, you can choose your own car, and the drivers who accept these bookings usually have all the necessary permits for international travel. You will get through customs without any stress. We traveled that way ourselves, and I was able to sit calmly in my work chats the whole way. When are you planning to leave?
